The reason I post this is because my son works for Crossroads Rescue Mission in Shelby, NC. He loves his job and delights in helping the needy. The thrift store which is run by the mission is a big source of the mission's financial needs. Because the building they are now in has been sold, they are looking for a new place to go. They need to be out of this location by February 13th. God does hear and answer prayers and we are praying for a miracle.
"When a missionary is going to learn a foreign language, he works diligently hour after hour. He needs a teacher who knows the language. If we are going to understand the speaking of Christ, we must permit the Holy spirit to teach us. In Christ there is all we need for redemption, grace, power, deliverance, and victory."
Think of it! We have the greatest teacher of all! If we know Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, the Holy Spirit indwells us and can and will teach us all we need to know in Christ. Will I allow Him to teach me today? Oh the joy of walking in the Spirit and not quenching the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
"The sin you now tremble at, if left to yourself, you will commit.

Someone very close to me basically lives by faith. Oh, yes, he has a job. He works for the Crossroads Rescue Mission as general director. He loves his job, and he did not take this job based on salary. He took it because it is where the Lord wanted him. He gets a small income, but barely enough to feed a family of 7! But God has never failed him and continues to meet his needs. Just the other day, he received a cash gift of $100. He had the money in his pocket and was about to leaved church when he saw a person walking through the parking lot that he knew had some needs. The Lord spoke to his heart and told him to give the money to him. He looked at his wife and said, The Lord just told me to give him this money. Her response; then give it to him. He did and the man was most grateful because He knew that the Lord had met a need in his life. Well, it was not long after that the person who gave the money away opened his car door and there in the seat was an envelope marked with his name and inside the envelope was $100! God gave it back to him! But that is not the end of the story. The very next day someone called my husband and said, please come by because I want to give some money to this family. So another $200 was added to what he received back from the Lord. God tripled it! We simply cannot out give God! Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

My daughter, who runs The Imperfect Homemaker and The Deal Scoop Blogs, was able to have a party last evening at my house. My house is larger so it was more convenient for guests. We had such a fun and relaxing time. She was able to accumulate products from different companies and give a review on them to her guests. After winning points through different games that we played, we were able to use those points to "buy" the products that she had for review. The one with the most points chose first and so we went around to each guest from largest points to smallest letting each take a turn to choose a gift. Such fun! We munched on snacks that were actually part of the review products, played games, talked and laughed, and went home with gifts instead of feeling obligated to buy something. Now you can't beat a party like that! Obviously someone had to do the work and yes, my daughter did put a lot of work into it. Why? Because she wanted to bless others! That is what this season is all about - giving to others. -Acts 20:35 . . . remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Some of the products recieved came from:
In the first video, they were trying to blow each other's cup off the table. The one who was able to keep their cup from being blown off was the winner.
In the second video, they had to balance the cookie on their forehead and try to get it into their mouth without using their hands.
Below, MaryEllen tells us about some of the products. Before the night was over, the card table beside her was covered with different products.
Below are some of the specific products that I received.
Free printables for your Personal Use. Hope you enjoy them.
The next one is made is the same, but made in two different shades.
