I borrowed this (not sure what it is called) from my daughter in order to make pear sauce. I had a half a bushed of pears and needed to do something with them. After simmering them for a few hours to get them soft, I put them through this sieve and made some sauce. My daughter had told me how wonderfully this works and she was right. The pears went through easily and separated the skins from the meat. Now I have a lot of pear suace to enjoy through the winter.
My Pear Sauce is simmering on the stove right now. Yum.
